About the Role
As a Culinary Assistant, you will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience by assisting with food preparation and service for special events and wine dinners. Your primary responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with food preparation, including cutting, slicing, and cooking ingredients.
*Assisting with plating and presentation of food for special events and wine dinners.
*Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
*Assisting with menu planning and recipe development, including researching and testing new dishes.
*Collaborating with the tasting room staff to ensure seamless coordination between food and wine service.
*Providing support to the event coordinator during special events, including setup and cleanup.
*Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
