About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the tasting room. Your primary responsibilities will include:
*Managing inventory levels and ordering wine and supplies as needed.
*Overseeing staffing levels and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
*Training and supervising tasting room staff, including conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback.
*Implementing standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in service.
*Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the tasting room, including regular inspections and maintenance.
*Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
*Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and events, to coordinate activities and promotions.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
*Previous experience in a management role, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry.
*Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
*Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
*Knowledge of wine and wine service techniques preferred but not required.
*Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
